BetMGM collaborates with Century Casinos for access to the Missouri sports betting market.

Century Casinos has finalized a strategic long-term partnership with BetMGM to launch their sports betting platform in Missouri. This collaboration was established through Century’s casino venue, Century Casino & Hotel Cape Girardeau.

Per the agreement, BetMGM will manage an online and mobile sports betting application under Century’s license in Missouri. The deal stipulates a portion of the net gaming revenue to be paid to Century, alongside an undisclosed guaranteed minimum, and options for retail sportsbooks that Century may choose to implement.

“We are thrilled to join forces with BetMGM, a prominent name in online sports betting and gaming entertainment known for its innovative approach,” commented Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, Co-CEOs of Century Casinos. “This alliance marks a significant advance in utilizing our Missouri licenses while providing exceptional entertainment experiences for our patrons.”

The agreement is subject to securing all necessary gaming licenses and regulatory approvals, as noted in a joint statement from the parties.

While sports betting is not yet operational in Missouri, the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) recently announced that the market is set to open on December 1, 2025. The legislation goes into effect on August 30, which will give the regulator approximately three months to assess license applications.

Under the established framework, Missouri’s terrestrial casinos can apply for both retail and mobile sports betting licenses, while two additional online-only licenses are allocated for prospective new operators. The announcement regarding these online-only licensees will occur on August 15.

Voters in Missouri ratified Amendment 2 during the November 2024 elections with a narrow margin of fewer than 3,000 votes. This amendment modifies the state constitution to allow both retail and online sports betting for individuals aged 21 and older.
