What a remarkable performance! Quarterback Drake Maye of the New England Patriots orchestrated a thrilling nine-play, 89-yard drive in the final quarter during last night’s match against the Ravens in Baltimore. This impressive feat has tightened the competition for the NFL MVP betting odds, putting Maye closely behind Los Angeles Rams’ QB Matthew Stafford.

The Patriots clinched a 28-24 victory, securing a playoff berth. Just a week earlier, Maye had two opportunities to mount comebacks against the Buffalo Bills, which resulted in a loss. He previously described that experience as the “elephant in the room.”

However, last night, Maye shone in the chilly Baltimore weather, completing 31 out of 44 passes for 380 yards, along with two touchdowns and one interception.

Shifting MVP Odds

With only two weeks left in the regular season, MVP odds are now converging around Maye and Stafford.

As of this morning on FanDuel, Stafford stands at -195, while Maye is at +170. Buffalo’s QB, Josh Allen, has slipped to +2500. DraftKings reflects similar odds—Stafford at -215, Maye at +180, and Allen at +2500.

Injuries are a significant concern in today’s betting landscape, particularly the back injury that sidelined Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson during last night’s game, and the suspected ACL injury for Kansas City Chiefs QB Gardner Minshew in their 26-9 defeat against the Tennessee Titans—this unfolded just a week after QB Patrick Mahomes suffered a similar injury.

Don’t overlook the Jacksonville Jaguars either; they improved to 11-4 after defeating the top-seeded Denver Broncos 34-20 at Empower Field at Mile High, led by QB Trevor Lawrence’s impressive three touchdown passes.

Jaguars’ Impressive Win

“The week truly favored the bettors early on,” commented Joey Feazel, Head of Football at Caesars Sportsbook. “Everyone anticipated Joshua to knock out Paul in the first round, but the Rams and Seahawks Same Game Parlays created a festive atmosphere for bettors this week. Saturday continued the trend with popular teams like the Eagles and Bears securing wins, with the Bears’ comeback being the highlight of the week.”

The Rams versus Seahawks game on Thursday Night Football marked one of the biggest wins for bettors this NFL season, second only to the Bills’ game against the Ravens in Week 1. The victories by the Eagles and Bears on Saturday further enriched the betting experience. Yesterdays results included wins for the Vikings and Saints, while the quarterback change in Miami seemingly confirmed the Bengals’ QB superiority.

Feazel highlighted significant games for the betting houses, including the Steelers achieving a surprising victory in Detroit, the Browns covering against the Bills, and the Raiders performing well against the Texans. Super Bowl odds post-Week 16 have seen shifts: Rams moving up from +340 to +430, Seahawks from +700 to +500, Jaguars improving from +1900 to +1300, and Lions from +3000 to +12500.

This evening, the Indianapolis Colts are in dire need of a win on their home turf against the San Francisco 49ers, who have already secured a playoff spot. The Colts are experiencing a four-game losing streak and are led by their 44-year-old quarterback, Philip Rivers, for tonight’s game. The 49ers are favored by BetMGM with a current moneyline of -250, whereas the Colts are at +200.
