Last week was monumental, not just for Casino.org, but for the global gaming community as two bold adventurers undertook the extraordinary challenge of visiting and wagering at more casinos in a single day than anyone ever has before.
On Thursday, September 25, Joel Strasser and Garrett Smith, known for their participation in Season 35 of “The Amazing Race” where they secured second place, kicked off their remarkable quest at the Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino in Henderson. Over the next 24 hours, they gambled at 115 distinct casinos, surpassing the former record of 74 casinos, which had stood since October 2017.
“We always believed we would set a new record; it was just a matter of how much we’d surpass it,” stated Strasser. “We aimed to elevate the standard as high as possible, so we pushed ourselves to keep going.”
Strasser and Smith’s achievement of visiting 115 casinos establishes a new Guinness World Record for the “Most Casinos Visited in 24 Hours.”
Changes to Guinness Regulations
According to Guinness World Records, in order to have a casino count towards the “Most Casinos Visited” record, a participant must engage in a table game at that location. Betting on slot machines or other forms of gambling will not qualify.
Additionally, participants must obtain a signature from a casino staff member confirming that they played a table game. Guinness also requires various forms of supporting documentation, including photographs, videos, and betting slips to validate the attempt.
However, due to a decrease in the number of casinos with table games following COVID-19, Guinness has recently modified the rules regarding the “Most Casinos Visited.”
The number of casinos in Las Vegas has diminished since the last successful attempt, making it potentially impossible to break the record. Therefore, we’ve adjusted [the regulations] somewhat,” explained Michael Empric, the Official Adjudicator from Guinness World Records.
Preparing for the various guidelines set by GWR, Strasser and Smith were well equipped.
“I anticipate their documentation will be meticulously organized, yet it needs to be compiled in such a way that I can review and verify, like, ‘Let’s see, casino number 25, I need a photo from there, a betting slip from there,’ to confirm everything,” Empric elaborated.
New Record Achieved
Approximately an hour after Strasser and Smith wrapped up their 24-hour challenge across Southern Nevada on e-bikes (with the use of cars or rideshares strictly forbidden), Empric announced inside Circa Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas that all 115 casinos they visited and gambled at had been officially recognized.

The Guinness World Records certificate states:
“The most casinos visited in 24 hours was achieved by Casino.org, Joel Strasser, and Garrett Smith (all USA) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from 25-26 September 2025.”
