In a November 15, 2023, update, it was revealed that Detroit’s trio of casinos experienced a joint 18.3% drop in revenue in October due to a strike involving union members.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board reported that MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino Hotel, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown reported revenue declines of 16.5%, 19.2%, and 20.2% respectively compared to September. The total revenue for October was $82.8M, down from $99.9M and $104.5M in September and August, respectively.
