Documents uncover additional information about Bally’s Las Vegas hotel-casino next to the A’s stadium


Bally’s Corporation has presented its vision to Clark County for a transformative, multiphase hotel-casino project set around the future home of the Athletics’ ballpark. The construction timeline is projected to take three years, according to the latest updates.

As outlined in the entitlement package submitted on October 8, the entire development will encompass 3.56 million square feet, as reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The project’s features include 1.7 million square feet designated for hotel accommodations, 822,000 square feet for parking facilities, 476,000 square feet allocated for shopping, dining, and entertainment, a theater spanning 216,000 square feet, a 100,000 square foot casino space, and 50,000 square feet dedicated to pools.

Bally’s is targeting approval for special use permits by January, with efforts to initiate construction in April and finish the phased development by March 2029. The company is also seeking phased building permissions through a process akin to that employed for the A’s ballpark.

The project will utilize 26 acres of the 35-acre property located at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue, enclosing the 9-acre parcel set aside for the $2 billion A’s stadium.

Bally’s plans to roll out the development in four phases. Phase 1 will focus on establishing a shared central utility plant, a southeast parking garage, a common access road around the ballpark, and various retail, dining, and entertainment facilities located on the northwest corner of the site, poised to open alongside the A’s ballpark in early 2028.

Phase 2 will bring to life an integrated resort, boasting an 1,800-room hotel tower that includes a casino and sportsbook, complemented by retail, dining, and entertainment spaces ranging from 1,000 to 59,800 square feet, some of which feature rooftop areas.

Additionally, Phase 3 will introduce a 3,000-seat theater on the southwest corner of the development, with a maximum height of 130 feet. Finally, Phase 4 will conclude the project with a second hotel tower at the northeast corner, offering 1,200 rooms.

The two hotel towers will rise to heights of 350 feet for the 1,800-room tower and 420 feet for the 1,200-room tower, pending design review by the county.

Bally’s intends to provide 2,680 dedicated parking spaces for the resort and mixed-use project—25% below the Clark County requirement of 3,574 spaces. However, factoring in the shared southeast parking garage, the total on-site parking capacity will reach 5,200 spaces.

The corporation is also requesting special-use permits for a resort hotel and recreational or entertainment facility. Furthermore, Bally’s is seeking waivers to decrease the mandated electric vehicle parking from 108 spaces to 22 and to cut loading space requirements from 68 to 11, citing the implementation of centralized loading docks, a practice common among Strip properties.
