On Monday, DraftKings unveiled formal intentions to introduce its mobile sportsbook in Missouri on December 1, coinciding with the market’s launch. In line with other operators, they are enticing new users with promotional bonus bets for those who register ahead of the launch.

DraftKings is rolling out an enticing offer where new users can receive $300 in bonus bets when placing a minimum bet of $5. Earlier this year, the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) awarded DraftKings a temporary mobile sports wagering license, allowing the platform to operate independently throughout the state without needing to affiliate with a physical casino or professional sports team.

“DraftKings is tailored for dedicated sports enthusiasts, and Missouri represents an exciting market for us to enter, given its vibrant sports culture and numerous professional teams,” stated Greg Karamitis, DraftKings’ Chief Revenue Officer. “This is a thrilling season for sports fans with the NFL, NBA, NHL, college football, and basketball all in full swing, and we look forward to enhancing the experience for Missouri sports aficionados, responsibly, with our renowned sportsbook.”

Chiefs Climbing NFL Power Rankings

Karamitis is correct – now is a prime time in the sports calendar to introduce sports betting. The Kansas City Chiefs managed a thrilling 23-20 (OT) comeback victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, leading to a rise in their power rankings nationwide. With a record of 6-5, they might be turning a pivotal corner.

DraftKings is one of just two sportsbook operators entering Missouri with standalone licenses. Sports betting will commence just in time for a Sunday Night Football clash between the Chiefs and the Houston Texans on December 7.

Additionally, BetMGM, bet365, FanDuel, Caesars, and Fanatics will also launch on December 1.

With Missouri becoming the 29th US state where DraftKings offers sports betting, they are also active in Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and Ontario, Canada. They established a partnership with the Chiefs in 2022, appointing them as the team’s official sports betting operator and have recently made a similar agreement with the St. Louis Blues.

DraftKings will kick off live betting with a special launch event on December 1, featuring a ceremonial first wager at The Palladium in St. Louis with Missouri sports legends Tony Gonzalez, Isaac Bruce, and Brett Hull. Missouri House Speaker Jonathan Patterson will also be present to deliver remarks.
