DraftKings users can now access enhanced parlay odds through a new $20 per month subscription service, initial reports by Sportico revealed.

DraftKings announces they are rolling out a new subscription service for bettors in New York.

Up to 100% Boost

Named DraftKings Sportsbook+, currently available only in New York, the subscription provides “Unlimited ‘Stepped Up’ Boost Tokens” within 30 minutes of subscribing that can be used on parlays and same game parlays. Users can receive a maximum 100% profit boost on successful parlays with 11 or more legs.

DraftKings becomes the pioneer in offering a subscription service. Recent reports confirm that the service was quietly launched in New York on Dec. 28.

Addressing High Taxes in New York

In an official statement, the company stated:

The subscription service was designed to enhance our customers’ fan experience, adding more excitement and value to our wide range of parlay offerings.

As previously mentioned in September, DraftKings CEO Jason Robins expressed intentions to explore alternative options to navigate jurisdictions with high sports betting taxes – such as New York, which imposes a tax rate of 51%.

In August, DraftKings had suggested the implementation of a tax on winning bets in states with high tax rates but later abandoned the idea within two weeks.

Booming Popularity of Parlays

No confirmation yet from DraftKings regarding the expansion of the subscription service to other states. Ultimately, bettors can place long-shot bets that could yield higher returns. Parlay wagers continue to grow in profitability for sportsbooks, partly due to aggressive marketing by platforms like DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM.

According to Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of FanDuel, more than 262 million ‘Same Game’ bets were placed globally in the final quarter of 2023 across Flutter’s primary brands – representing an increase of nearly 75% compared to the same period in 2022.
