The Hotel EDC is transitioning to new rooms. The recognized hotel for EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) is now the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. For the previous two years, the event was hosted at Resorts World.
This move entails that all official EDC events, interactive installations, and pool shows from May 16-19 will be relocated to Virgin, the off-Strip casino formerly known as the Hard Rock.
Casino.org contacted representatives of both EDC organizer Insomniac and Hotel EDC producer Vibee, asking for the reason Resorts World was not chosen again. If responses are received from one or both organizations, this article will be updated.
Regardless of the cause, it’s hard not to interpret the change as being connected to the negative publicity Resorts World has recently received for allegedly allowing money laundering to take place on its premises in 2022 and 2023. The Genting Group casino resort, which consists of three Hilton hotels, dismissed its president, Scott Sibella, last September and was hit with a 12-count disciplinary complaint by the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) last month for the scandal.
Virgin Hotels Las Vegas also operates under the Hilton brand and is part of the hotel giant’s Curio Collection.
Hotel EDC 2025 packages will be available for purchase for those who attended previous editions of Hotel EDC on Tuesday, September 11, at noon PT via the EDC website. A presale for those with EDCLV 2025 passes will begin on Thursday, September 12, at noon PT.
All remaining packages will go on sale at noon PT on Friday, September 13. As soon as prices become available, they will be posted here.
According to a joint press release from Insomniac, Vibee, and Virgin, guests staying at Hotel EDC will receive a $30 daily food and beverage credit “for select locations,” and “premium add-ons, such as premier shuttles and private car services, will be offered for transportation to the festival.”
Hotel EDC mandates a minimum three-night stay for up to four individuals over the age of 21.
EDC itself will be happening from May 17-19 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The lineup for this year will include Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, Zedd, Alison Wonderland, Kaskade, John Summit, Dom Dolla, and many more.
While general admission tickets are sold out, GA+ and VIP passes, starting at $599 and $969, are still available.
