Fanatics and ESPN BET are set to launch retail sportsbooks at Missouri’s top four casinos — Ameristar St. Charles, River City Casino, Hollywood Casino, and Ameristar Kansas City — on December 1, coinciding with the state’s legal sports betting commencement.

Both Ameristar casinos, operated by Boyd Gaming, will showcase Fanatics sportsbooks and digital gaming, while PENN-run River City and Hollywood casinos will feature ESPN BET sportsbooks. Together, these four casinos outperformed the state’s other nine casinos in revenue during the fiscal year 2025.

More retail sportsbooks are on the way at Caesars’ Harrah’s Kansas City and Horseshoe St. Louis, PENN’s Argosy Riverside Casino, and BetMGM’s Century Casino Cape Girardeau, bringing Missouri’s total to eight retail sportsbooks when betting goes live.

Online sports betting is anticipated to take the lead in the market. DraftKings and Circa have received licenses allowing independent operations, while FanDuel collaborates with MLS team St. Louis CITY SC, and bet365 partners with MLB’s St. Louis Cardinals. Analysts predict DraftKings and FanDuel will emerge as the top two sportsbooks by market share.

Bettors can start making deposits from November 17, two weeks before the state-wide launch date.

Missouri’s premier casinos are mainly located in the St. Louis area, except for Ameristar Kansas City. Ameristar St. Charles is situated in St. Charles County, the wealthiest county in the state, while River City and Hollywood casinos are located in St. Louis County, which ranks fifth in median income.
