Fanatics is returning its sports fan-focused convention to New York City in 2025.
Fanatics recently announced that the 2025 Fanatics Fest will take place in New York City at the Javits Center from June 22-25. The event will feature over 500 athletes and celebrities in Manhattan.
Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin expressed excitement about bringing Fanatics Fest back to New York City, aiming for a bigger and better event in 2025. The event will include interactive experiences, exclusive product drops, and opportunities for fans to meet their favorite athletes.
The first Fanatics Fest, akin to sports fandom’s Comic-Con, took place in August at the Javits Center. It attracted over 300 celebrities and athletes, meeting with more than 70,000 attendees.
Sports Conglomerate
Fanatics, founded by Rubin in 2011, holds licensing agreements with major professional leagues and numerous college athletic programs.
After the repeal of a federal law limiting sports betting to Nevada in 2018, Fanatics entered the sports gambling market with Fanatics Betting & Gaming. The company has since become a significant player in the industry.
Fanatics emerged as a prominent new player in the competitive sports betting market, with its Fanatics Sportsbook now operational in 22 states and Washington, D.C. Its market share in the U.S. has grown over the past year.
Fanatics has a significant market share in New York, the nation’s wealthiest state, as well as an online casino presence in multiple states.
Fanatics Fest New and Improved
Fanatics Fest features interactive experiences, panels, autograph sessions, and a trading cards and collectibles show. The 2025 event will host over 250 hobby shops and dealers.
Tickets for the 2025 event will be on sale for previous attendees on December 5 and for the general public on December 13. Prices start at $60 for single-day tickets.
Fanatics Fest aims to address previous attendees’ concerns about high prices for autographs and photo opportunities with celebrities and athletes.
