Fanatics Sportsbook locks in NFL betting partnership before start of season kickoff

Fanatics Sportsbook has signed an official partnership with the NFL in a new multi-year, non-exclusive agreement.

The deal, set to be announced before the season opener, provides Fanatics with premium NFL media inventory, including in-game advertising and network sponsorships.

Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino will also enjoy VIP hospitality benefits, Super Bowl access, and experiences linked to major NFL events. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The agreement follows the expiration of the NFL’s previous primary sportsbook partnerships with FanDuel, DraftKings, and Caesars in March without renewal, as reported first by Sports Business Journal (SBJ). FanDuel and DraftKings are still in talks with the league, but Fanatics is the first to finalize a new deal.

The deal allows Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Casino to incorporate official NFL intellectual property in their marketing, including league and team logos as well as marks associated with major events like the Super Bowl and NFL Draft. It expands on Fanatics’ existing collaborations with the NFL in e-commerce, fan apparel, and merchandise.

Fanatics Sportsbook currently operates in 22 states and Washington, D.C., while Fanatics Casino is active in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

The NFL remains a significant sports betting market in the US, driven by large TV audiences, a concentrated weekly schedule, and a short regular season.

The American Gaming Association estimated legal wagers at $30 billion for the 2025 season, an 8.5% year-over-year increase from $27.6 billion. The estimate covers wagers from futures and preseason games through the Super Bowl, excluding bets from untracked offshore sportsbooks and prediction markets.

Preseason games are already in progress, with the regular season kickoff scheduled for September 9, featuring a Super Bowl rematch between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.
