FanDuel and FanDuel Sports Network introduce real-time wagering tracking for certain NBA and NHL broadcasts

FanDuel and FanDuel Sports Network have unveiled an innovative broadcast feature designed for viewers who place bets while enjoying live games. This allows personal betting information to be displayed directly on the viewing screen.

On December 16, the companies introduced Bet Tracking, which enables viewers of the FanDuel Sports Network in selected NBA and NHL markets to link their FanDuel Sportsbook accounts to live broadcasts and keep track of their bets in real-time as the game proceeds.

Participants can monitor their betting progress, including outcomes of games and player prop bets, with real-time updates shown along the lower and right edges of the screen, while the gameplay remains the focus in the center.

Our goal was to enhance the overall fan engagement, viewer satisfaction, and betting experience,” stated Mike Raffensperger, president of sports at FanDuel.

According to Raffensperger, Bet Tracking is a fully customizable and optional feature, meaning users can select which betting information is shown. “If this option isn’t for you, rest assured that it won’t affect your default viewing experience,” he added. “You can choose when to activate it.”

Even those who do use the feature may not want it displayed for the entire game. “This feature allows fans to toggle and check their progress, then return to a full-screen view without interruptions,” Raffensperger explained.

Eric Ratchman, chief revenue officer at Main Street Sports Group, described Bet Tracking as an initiative to connect devices that fans are already utilizing. “Watching a game while tracking bets on your device creates a highly engaging experience,” he noted. “It establishes a seamless ecosystem between your TV and mobile device.”

The companies confirm that NBA and NHL games in regions with legalized online sports betting, where FanDuel Sports Network holds local media rights, are the first to offer Bet Tracking. The initial launch includes markets in Ohio, North Carolina, Michigan, Tennessee, Missouri, and Indiana.

Teams included are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Charlotte Hornets, Carolina Hurricanes, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Red Wings, Memphis Grizzlies, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, and Indiana Pacers.

Betting enthusiasts in these regions can access the feature by logging into the FanDuel Sports Network via its website or app. The feature is also available through FanDuelSportsNetwork.com or the FanDuel Sports Network app using pay-TV or direct-to-consumer login credentials, as well as via Prime Video.

Ratchman mentioned that this product rollout comes nearly a year after FanDuel Sports Network re-emerged from bankruptcy and was rebranded from Bally Sports, marking what he identified as the next step in local sports delivery. “We are constructing a modern platform aimed at serving local sports fans,” he expressed.

In a separate announcement, Raffensperger emphasized that this integration reflects a major milestone in their partnership and highlighted ongoing efforts to build on-screen odds integrations, exclusive promotions such as “Bet $5, Get 3 Months on Us,” and joint activities around the Missouri sportsbook launch on December 1. Ratchman stated: “In regions where FanDuel Sports Network and FanDuel’s Sportsbook collaborate, we are witnessing significant and sustained growth.”
