GeoComply originally teamed up with FanDuel 13 years ago during the operator’s daily fantasy sports era, before FanDuel’s U.S. sportsbook debut in 2018.

In their announcement, FanDuel revealed that they currently have 17 million customers and are operating in 26 U.S. markets, along with Ontario and Alberta in Canada.

Decade-Long Partnership

“GeoComply has played a vital role in our efforts to create a trusted platform for our customers,” stated Christian Genetski, president of FanDuel. “We are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience while upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance.”

FanDuel will continue to make use of GeoComply’s identity verification and fraud prevention tools.

Under the expanded partnership, GeoComply will also provide dedicated engineers to collaborate with FanDuel’s product and operations teams, enhancing the utilization of location and device intelligence, behavioral data, and real-time fraud detection.

Supporting Compliance at Scale

Authorized sportsbooks in regulated markets are required to ensure that bets originate from eligible customers within approved jurisdictions.

“FanDuel and GeoComply have progressed together, starting from a single regulated state to national reach,” said Kip Levin, CEO of GeoComply.

“Our collaboration has evolved to include fraud prevention, seamless authentication, market insights, and other intelligence crucial for operators to achieve compliance on a large scale.”

NFL Season Boosts Traffic

Legal sportsbooks are gearing up for increased activity as the National Football League (NFL) season kicks off.

According to GeoComply, they have managed billions of player verifications for FanDuel, with a pass rate of 99.7% and 99.999% service availability during peak traffic periods such as the Super Bowl and multi-state launches, adapting to the evolving regulatory environment.

During the 2025 Super Bowl, GeoComply handled a peak of 14,300 geolocation transactions per second just before halftime for its clients. For the 2026 Super Bowl, they processed 81.4 million geolocation checks in a single game day. The March Madness Final Four Weekend saw 145.6 million geolocation checks processed.
