A player from Atlanta celebrated a significant win just minutes after arriving in Las Vegas, according to Westgate.
Westgate Las Vegas, a popular off-Strip resort located on Paradise Road, has become the backdrop for a lucky slots player who transformed a $5 bet into over $10.2 million.
According to the property, owned by Westgate Resorts based in Orlando, a visitor from Atlanta, who had just arrived moments prior, began playing Wolf Run Eclipse. The Megabucks progressive jackpot enthusiastically welcomed the newcomer.
Westgate confirmed that the player’s $5 spin activated a bonus round, ultimately leading to the dramatic Megabucks jackpot victory. The official payout reached $10,292,911.55.

Westgate reported that the jackpot winner chose to remain anonymous and declined to take a photograph.
However, social media buzz suggests the winner arrived in Las Vegas Tuesday, right before Infocomm 2026, the annual event hosted by the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA).
Infocomm attracts an estimated 40,000 participants to Las Vegas, with the Strip’s Convention Center serving as the venue for this year’s gathering. The city holds Infocomm every other year, with Orlando typically serving as the alternate host.
The winner’s payout will be subject to a 37% federal tax, the highest tax rate for filers in 2026, which will decrease the $10.2 million prize by approximately $3.8 million.
Progressive jackpots accumulate their large advertised prizes from thousands of connected machines via a wide-area network (WAN). Each player’s spin contributes a small, predetermined percentage of the bet to the progressive prize pool.
