The Fremont Street Experience is gearing up for its 30th anniversary celebration this December, commemorating three decades since the launch of its pedestrian mall and The Canopy, a project recognized for transforming downtown Las Vegas.
<p>Since its opening in 1995, <strong>this iconic attraction has grown to feature the SlotZilla Zipline, the Circa Resort & Casino, and an ongoing schedule of complimentary live entertainment</strong>. This year’s anniversary theme is titled “An Iconic Vegas Original.”</p>
<p>“Fremont Street Experience has consistently focused on providing unforgettable experiences,” stated Dana Reynolds, Vice President of Marketing. “<strong>For the past three decades, we've proudly acted as the pulse of downtown Las Vegas</strong>, integrating innovation, entertainment, and community engagement. This milestone is a tribute to the individuals, performances, and vibrant atmosphere that have established the Fremont Street Experience as a premier destination.</p>
<p>A range of events is planned throughout December. <strong>The month begins with the Downtown Hoedown on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m.</strong>, serving as the official kickoff for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. This event will feature free country music performances by Midland, Corey Kent, Josh Ross, and Mackenzie Carpenter.</p>
<p><strong>A festive holiday pop-up from Guinness follows on Dec. 5 and 6 from noon to 8 p.m.</strong>, offering free beer tastings, holiday-themed merchandise, gift wrapping services, and designated photo areas.</p>
<p><strong>The main anniversary event is set for Sunday, Dec. 14, starting at 4 p.m.</strong> The evening will kick off with a Menorah Lighting, followed by speeches from key figures involved in The Canopy's 1995 launch.</p>
<p><strong>Special canopy shows will premiere as part of the festivities, and Mayor Shelley Berkley will assist in lighting the annual Christmas tree alongside KTNV.</strong> This event will also inaugurate Neon Nights Holiday Lights, marking the debut of Fremont Street Experience’s first holiday village.</p>
<p><strong>Neon Nights will take place nightly from Dec. 14 to 19 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.</strong> Co-hosted with First Friday and KTNV, the holiday village will feature Santa visits, local pop-up vendors, beverage sampling from nearby establishments, festive decorations, and a canned food donation station. Entrance is free.</p>
<p><strong>The Las Vegas Bowl Pep Rally returns on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 5 p.m.</strong>, featuring marching bands, cheerleaders, and mascots representing the competing teams.</p>
<p><strong>Rounding off the month is Countdown Under The Canopy, the annual New Year’s Eve celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m.</strong> Performers will include Robin Thicke, CeeLo Green, Common Kings, Chingy, Pertinence, and Sammy Johnson. Tickets are priced at $60 online, increasing to $65 on Dec. 27.</p>
