The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) will kick off its 2026 edition on Monday with a Main Stage session discussing prediction markets and tribal gaming. This will be followed by a welcome reception in Venetian Ballroom F.
Organized by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and RX, the Main Stage programming on Monday will feature tribal gaming leaders and advocates who will address concerns about prediction markets bypassing tribal frameworks to offer backdoor sports betting.
The session will also highlight the ongoing efforts to protect and preserve the tribal gaming market.
Hour-by-Hour Schedule on Opening Day
The session titled “The Power of Unity: Confronting the Prediction Markets Challenge” will commence at 4 p.m. on September 28, with doors opening at 3:30 p.m.
Following the Main Stage programming, attendees will be invited to the G2E Welcome Reception from 5 to 7 p.m. in Venetian Ballroom F. This reception will provide an opportunity for networking, connecting with colleagues, continuing conversations from the day, and celebrating the launch of G2E 2026.
Organizers emphasize that the session and reception will combine a crucial industry discussion with networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and foster collaboration within the G2E community.
Importance of Unified Action by Tribes
Organizers point out that prediction markets have rapidly become a significant challenge for tribal gaming. With ongoing litigation and regulatory debates over jurisdiction, tribes see a need for a coordinated response.
The Monday discussion will delve into the importance of unity and how tribes can align legal, political, and public policy strategies. Panelists will explore necessary collective actions to safeguard tribal gaming, sovereignty, and regulatory authority.
“Prediction markets pose an existential threat to tribal gaming and tribal sovereignty,” states Victor Rocha, Conference Chair of the Indian Gaming Association (IGA). “We are hosting this keynote to emphasize the need for a united response. Together, Indian Country represents a formidable political, legal, and economic force that cannot be overlooked.”
