- Myles Garrett’s trade to the Los Angeles Rams disrupts sports betting markets
- Sportsbooks swiftly revise Super Bowl odds, with Rams emerging as favorites
- Rams garnering the highest handle percentage at BetMGM
The significant NFL trade that occurred this afternoon, which involved two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett moving from the Cleveland Browns to the Los Angeles Rams, has significantly affected Super Bowl betting odds, according to sportsbook analysts.

Pro-Bowler Jared Verse Joins the Browns
In exchange for Garrett, the Rams dealt two-time Pro Bowl player Jared Verse along with several draft selections to the Browns.
Despite Browns management’s initial stance on not trading Garrett, ESPN indicates that the Rams maintained their pursuit aggressively. Discussions intensified post-NFL Draft in April, evolving from just draft capital to a deal that included Verse.
“This is the kind of news that keeps odds makers alert,” stated Johnny Avello, DraftKings Director of Race & Sports Operations.
Rams Now Super Bowl Favorites
“What an incredible acquisition,” he remarked. “The Rams have become even stronger favorites, now sitting at 6-to-1 odds for the championship, followed closely by the Bills. They were already a formidable team with a solid defense, and adding Garrett is a monumental gain.”
Following the Rams, DraftKings lists the Bills at +1000, the Baltimore Ravens at +1000, the Seattle Seahawks at +1100, the Kansas City Chiefs at +1500, the Philadelphia Eagles at +1600, and the New England Patriots at +1600.
“With football season months away, it’s crucial to stay updated on any developing news,” Avello added. “A single announcement can shift futures odds dramatically and influence everything we have listed. We have already set odds for every game this season for the Rams, including total wins and potential outcomes, all of which are influenced by such news.”
Staying Ahead of Sharp Bettors
At BetMGM, the Rams’ odds improved from +800 to +600 this morning, while the Seahawks changed from +950 to +1000. Currently, the Rams are at +300 to win the NFC Championship. The Rams hold the highest ticket percentage at 7.9%, followed closely by the Bills at 7.7% and the Broncos at 7.2%. The Rams also lead in handle percentage at 10.6%, followed by the Bills at 9.3% and the Broncos at 8.1%.
At Caesars Sportsbook, the Rams’ Super Bowl odds shifted from +700 to +600, NFC Championship odds from +390 to +310, and odds for the NFL’s Best Record from +900 to +700.
“It’s vital to continuously monitor the news and react proactively to ensure we stay ahead of both the general public and sharp bettors who might exploit any soft odds,” Avello emphasized.
