- Construction of the new Hard Rock Guitar Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip is on track
- The establishment is set to debut in late 2027
Hard Rock International’s Guitar Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip has officially passed the halfway mark, remaining on schedule for its anticipated Q4 2027 launch.

With the base for 28 stories already established and 14 more to complete before the structure reaches 660 feet tall, construction has now reached the waist of the massive electric guitar design, partially obstructing the views of nearby buildings.

Buildings to the south, including lower levels of Treasure Island and northern views from Caesars Palace, will face partial obstruction. Additionally, certain areas heading southbound on the Strip may find views of the Trump International Hotel blocked.
Nonetheless, many view having a direct line of sight to the Guitar Hotel as a unique attraction in itself.
Resurrection from the Ashes
The latest skyline addition is the centerpiece of Hard Rock International’s comprehensive overhaul of the previous Mirage, which they acquired from MGM Resorts for $1.075 billion in December 2022.

The Guitar Hotel rises where the famous volcano once stood, which began its demolition just a month after the Mirage shut down on July 17, 2024.
Visible from both ends of the Strip, the Guitar Hotel is being cloaked in shades of blue glass, with many floors already adorned. The first five levels will occupy the lower 100 feet, while the upper 560 feet will house 675 rooms and suites.
The former three-winged tower of the Mirage has already been cleared and is undergoing refurbishment. It will now be cloaked in blue glass, unlike the gold hue preferred by Mirage creator Steve Wynn.
Upon its completion, the resort will feature nearly 3,600 accommodations, about 175,000 square feet of gaming area, two spas, multiple pool complexes, live performance spaces, and an extensive selection of dining, nightlife, and retail options.
Hard Rock International is a subsidiary of the Seminole Tribe of Florida.
