Illinois: Hard Rock Casino Rockford marks its first year anniversary

Hard Rock Casino Rockford marked its inaugural anniversary on September 3 with a full day festivity recognizing its staff and the local community.

The casino organized an eight-hour celebration for its employees, which included a DJ, a slideshow, a cornhole tournament, giveaways, and various other activities, as reported by the Rockford Register Star. Famous guitarist Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick was present to join in the festivities.

“It’s astonishing how quickly this year has passed,” stated Geno Iafrate, president of Hard Rock Casino Rockford. “It’s been an eventful journey, and I take immense pride in the 1,000 team members who contribute daily to our success.”

Since its opening, the casino has contributed over $36 million in tax revenues to both the City of Rockford and the State of Illinois, according to an official press release. The establishment has also attracted over one million guests globally during its first operational year.

Looking forward, Iafrate mentioned that expansion remains a crucial goal, with plans for adding new features and services in the coming years. “With three decades in this industry, I can confidently say the Hard Rock outshines any other venue I’ve worked with in the past.”
