An unidentified individual sustained gunshot wounds in the lower legs on Thursday afternoon in a parking lot at Rivers Casino Philadelphia.
The victim, aged 37, was shot multiple times around noon and was promptly taken to Jefferson Hospital for urgent medical care, as reported by CBS News.
He remained in critical condition as of Thursday afternoon. There has been no further update on his health status as of Thursday evening.
Law enforcement in Philadelphia are still in pursuit of the shooter as of Thursday night. No information has been released regarding the identity of the suspect.
Police are also on the lookout for a vehicle linked to the shooter as of late Thursday.
Authorities reportedly reviewed surveillance footage from casino cameras to track the vehicle and identify the suspect.
The firearm used in the shooting has yet to be recovered by the police.
Individual Injured Near Horseshoe Casino
An unnamed individual sustained gunshot wounds near Horseshoe Casino Baltimore on Wednesday night.
The shooting occurred at 11:20 p.m. at a gas station on Russell Street, as per Baltimore TV station WBFF.
The man, aged 26, was wounded several times and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
There is no update as of Thursday on the condition of the victim.
Visitor at Casino Allegedly Assaults Guards
A man from Pennsylvania has been charged after allegedly assaulting security guards and making racial remarks at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh on Sunday.
The individual used racial slurs towards the guards during the altercation, according to the police.
The incident began when Frank Fine, aged 39, was intoxicated and was asked to leave the casino premises by employees around 1:30 a.m., as reported by Pennsylvania TV station WHTM.
He refused to leave, leading to a violent altercation with the security guards. At one point, he stated to the Pennsylvania State Police “I wanna go to jail today,” as per WHTM.
Fine attempted to flee when state troopers arrived, but he was apprehended shortly after.
He was searched upon being taken into custody, where troopers discovered a pipe in his possession.
Fine is facing charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and disorderly conduct. He is scheduled to appear in local court on October 31.
If convicted, he could potentially face imprisonment. The case has been handed over to local prosecutors.
