Lee, 67, is currently in intensive care at a Las Vegas hospital. Although he sustained multiple gunshot wounds, his representative informed TMZ that none of the injuries were life-threatening. He is “fully conscious and in stable condition” and is expected to recover fully.

Law enforcement officials do not currently suspect that Lee was targeted by an assailant. According to TMZ, they believe this was a “completely random” street shooting.

Lee is revered by millions of music enthusiasts for taking on the monumental task of replacing the beloved late Randy Rhoads in Osbourne’s solo band. He contributed to two iconic albums: 1983’s “Bark at the Moon” and 1986’s “The Ultimate Sin.”

Rhoads passed away in 1982, in a plane crash involving pilot Andrew Aycock and makeup artist Rachel Youngblood, after a prank went tragically wrong. All three individuals lost their lives.

Lee was dismissed from Ozzy’s band in 1987 by Osbourne’s manager-wife, Sharon Osbourne, purportedly due to conflicts with her and drummer Randy Castillo.

Following his departure from Ozzy’s band, Lee went on to establish other heavy metal groups. His most recent endeavor is Red Dragon Cartel, with whom he recorded and toured in 2018. Lee co-founded the band with Vegas musician and studio owner Ronnie Mancuso and English vocalist Darren James Smith.
