Kambi Group has been appointed by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC) and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) to provide technology and services for a groundbreaking multi-provincial sportsbook.

Multi-Provincial Sportsbook Initiative
“Kambi has a rich legacy of collaboration with lottery and state-operated entities globally, and we eagerly anticipate creating an exceptional sports betting experience for players in various Canadian provinces,” stated Werner Becher, CEO of Kambi Group.
In March 2025, BCLC and ALC revealed their intention to collaborate on a comprehensive national sports betting solution, encouraging other provincial crown corporations to participate. Shortly thereafter, they issued an RFP through the Merx platform.
Through the partnership with ALC and BCLC, Kambi will deliver its state-of-the-art sportsbook technology across government-operated sportsbooks in seven out of Canada’s ten provinces—B.C., Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, through BCLC, along with New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, via ALC.
Innovative Sportsbook Technology
This partnership marks a significant advancement in the collaboration among provincial lotteries, aimed at providing a unified, high-quality sports betting experience while upholding robust governance within each region,” commented Scott Eagles, Director of Sports Betting at Atlantic Lottery.
“By working together, we prioritize trust, integrity, and player safety. Kambi’s reliable sportsbook technology, extensive experience in supporting lottery and state-owned operations, and its capability to deliver across digital and retail platforms make it an excellent partner for our collective goals and the sustainable future of sports betting in Canada.”
Launch of OLG’s Kambi Sportsbook in January
This January, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation unveiled that the Kambi Group would take on the role of operator for OLG’s Proline sportsbook. Following this announcement, OLG introduced its Kambi-powered sportsbook on January 27.
“Being chosen to power this comprehensive multi-province sportsbook solution serves as a strong validation of Kambi’s trusted technology, regulatory know-how, and proven capacity to execute on a large scale,” remarked Becher.
“ALC and BCLC have articulated a clear vision for a uniform sportsbook, and we are honored to support its next phase with our high-performance, compliant, and tested Turnkey Sportsbook.”
