Following their dominating victory over the New York Liberty in the WNBA finals, the Las Vegas Aces were eagerly awaiting Usher’s presence at their victory celebration. The team’s series MVP, A’ja Wilson, even made a playful threat during a press conference. However, the celebration came and went without Usher showing up.
Fortunately, the disappointment didn’t last long. On Friday night, Usher finally joined the party at the front VIP booths of his “My Way” Dolby Live residency at Park MGM. The Aces players filled the booths and when the DJ started playing, the team couldn’t resist dancing.
The dance party eventually made its way to the stage, causing excitement among the crowd. Aces guard Sydney Colson stole the show with her twerking skills on all fours. It was a memorable celebration for the team.
During his set, Usher took the opportunity to serenade A’ja Wilson, as he has done in the past. They performed “There Goes My Baby” together, with Wilson singing along to every lyric. However, Usher added some personalized lyrics referring to Wilson’s social-media campaign to join the victory rally.
The Aces guard Alysha Clark expressed her gratitude on behalf of the team, thanking Usher for his hospitality and for paying attention to Wilson’s tweets over the past year. It was truly a remarkable night for the team.
