- A new casino in Southern Nevada is set to open on March 25.
- Cadence Crossing Casino is developed by Boyd Gaming.
- The casino will take the place of Jokers Wild in Henderson.
The latest addition to the Las Vegas gaming scene will commence operations later this month.

Boyd Gaming has announced that the Cadence Crossing Casino in Henderson will welcome guests starting at noon on Wednesday, March 25.
This 50,000-square-foot gaming facility will house 450 slot machines along with video poker options. Guests can also indulge in a variety of delicious dining and beverage venues.
Cadence Crossing will take the place of the former Jokers Wild Casino, situated next to the sought-after Cadence Community in Henderson.
“Cadence is one of the fastest-developing master-planned communities in the United States, and we’re eager to provide our residents with an engaging and modern gaming experience when Cadence Crossing Casino opens,” said Keith Smith, President and CEO of Boyd Gaming.
The new casino will kick off with live performances, featuring acts scheduled for its initial five nights, from March 25 to March 29.
Thriving Community
Located along Boulder Highway and about 10 miles southeast of the iconic Las Vegas Strip, Cadence Crossing Casino represents a significant investment by Boyd Gaming, which is part of a $75 million budget earmarked for its Southern Nevada ventures. This casino is anticipated to attract substantial tourism to the area.
If the casino performs as well as expected, Boyd plans to develop a 114-room hotel on the site, which will occupy the current Jokers Wild Casino location, set to be demolished shortly.
Given the robust residential growth in the vicinity, we believe Cadence Crossing Casino is positioned to yield significant returns on our investment. With ample land still available for further development, we have the flexibility to enhance this property to accommodate increasing demand,” stated Smith.
Last year, over 1,200 new homes were sold in the Cadence Community, placing it third nationwide among master-planned developments. This 2,200-acre neighborhood emphasizes an outdoor-centric lifestyle, featuring 450 acres of parkland. Cadence Central Park is a notable 50-acre public space that includes a splash pad, a six-lane swimming pool, an amphitheater, and an outdoor fitness facility.
Local Casino Market Dynamics
Boyd Gaming is a key player in the locals’ casino market, operating ten establishments in the Las Vegas region. While the overall gross gaming revenue on the Las Vegas Strip remained consistent in 2025, the county’s gaming revenue increased by over 1% compared to 2024.
As the population of Henderson continues to grow, Boyd is strategically positioning itself to better serve the local community.
In Boyd’s recent earnings report, executives highlighted that the Las Vegas locals’ market “experienced ongoing growth in gaming revenues owing to strong patronage from our core customer base, alongside some challenges faced in the destination business.”
