The upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race is rapidly approaching, with practice and qualifying taking place from November 21-23, followed by the main race that Saturday night.
Entering its second year, the Las Vegas Strip Circuit is a temporary 6.2 kilometer (3.85 mile), 50-lap, 17-turn street track, passing by iconic landmarks such as Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, and the Venetian, creating a thrilling race under the dazzling Vegas lights. The inaugural race last year saw a lap record set by Oscar Piastri at 1:35.490 and was not without its share of controversies.
Negative Reviews from the 2023 Race
Driver Max Verstappen expressing his dissatisfaction with how the glitz and glamour overshadowed the race itself in Vegas, despite his victory (opinions from rival Lewis Hamilton differed, and other voices countered Verstappen’s views); concerns about loose manhole covers on the track leading to a closure for inspection by F1 officials, along with complaints from locals about disruptions caused by the event, high ticket prices, and cancelled practice sessions, all garnered media attention.
However, that was last year.
With another race on the horizon, hotel operators are capitalizing on the excitement, evident from the rising room rates.
Current Room Rates Overview
Checking out room rates at strip hotels this morning, here’s what we discovered:
A Julius Deluxe Room at Caesars Palace for the three nights is priced at $469 per night, escalating to the Colosseum Duplex Suite at $21,752 per night.
