On Tuesday, Westgate revealed that Barry Manilow has agreed to the first-ever “lifetime residency” in Las Vegas history.

“I am extremely grateful for the chance to make Westgate my permanent home for the duration of my career,” Manilow stated in a press release announcing the historic event without providing specific details.

Speculations arise about what a lifetime residency entails. Will no other artists be able to perform in the Westgate main showroom as long as Manilow is alive? Maybe it signifies that the venue will offer the space whenever it’s available, as they have been doing since February 2005 for Manilow.

Perhaps it symbolizes a promise from Manilow to not negotiate appearances at other Vegas venues, making it more of an honor for Westgate than for him.

Nevertheless, Manilow is undoubtedly deserving of this recognition, whatever it may entail, even though it would have had more significance two decades ago when he was not in his 80s.

Longtime collaborators Kendrick Lamar and SZA have announced their second co-headlining tour, titled “Grand National,” scheduled at Allegiant Stadium on May 31. They previously toured together on “The Championship Tour,” held at the T-Mobile Arena in June 2018.

This news follows Lamar’s release of his sixth album, “GNX,” less than two weeks ago, which debuted and remains at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, featuring SZA on two tracks, “Luther” and “Gloria.’

General ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, December 6 via Ticketmaster, with a presale for Cash App Visa Card holders starting on Wednesday.

In a different collaboration, Toni Braxton will perform alongside comedian Cedric the Entertainer at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan. While they do not perform together, Braxton opens for Cedric. Following six performances last summer, the “Love & Laughter” residency will return for six more shows next year: February 14-15, May 9-10, and July 11-12. Tickets will be available for sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 6 via Ticketmaster.

Fallout: New Vegas: The Album?

The Pioneer Saloon, known for hosting the annual Fallout Fan Celebration in Goodsprings, a small former mining town about 40 miles southwest of Vegas, has released an album of songs paying homage to the soundtrack from “Fallout: New Vegas.” The popular video game is set in Goodsprings, utilizing real-life landmarks and local residents like the Pioneer.

Available on all digital music platforms and on CD through the Pioneer’s online store, “Pioneer Saloon: The Fallout Era” is a collection of songs dedicated to the game.
