Las Vegas is losing two of its most enduring headliners – one temporarily, one permanently.

This week, Rod Stewart canceled his August run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace after undergoing a routine coronary stent procedure. The six canceled dates are Aug. 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, and 29. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Rod Stewart, 81, had previously postponed a Cincinnati tour date for a minor medical procedure, which was later confirmed to be a stent placement. His recovery is progressing well, and he hopes to be back performing soon. The rescheduling of the August shows is yet to be determined.

Stewart, known for his long stint as a Strip performer, with over 200 shows in Las Vegas starting in 2005, made his Colosseum debut in 2011.

Valli of Decision

Franke Valli is officially retiring from live performances, as announced by his brother Bobby Valli in an Aug. 12 Facebook post. The 92-year-old singer has decided to end his more than six-decade-long career on stage.

Valli had already canceled nine U.S. tour dates from June to November 2026 due to unspecified health issues. His legacy lives on through hits like “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry” performed both with the Four Seasons and in his solo work.
