- Klint Kubiak serves as the offensive coordinator for the playoff-bound Seattle Seahawks
- Kubiak has expressed interest in becoming the head coach of the Raiders
- The Raiders concluded their season with a disappointing 3-14 record, finishing last in the NFL
As reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Las Vegas Raiders appear to be on the verge of naming Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their new head coach.

“Source: Following meetings on Saturday with both Las Vegas and Arizona, Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is looking to finalize a deal to take over the head coach position with the Raiders,” Schefter noted on his X account earlier today.
Seahawks Rank High in NFL Offense
“While a contract cannot be officially signed until after the Super Bowl, Klint Kubiak is eager to lead the Raiders, and the organization is keen on him as well. It’s anticipated that an agreement will be reached soon.”
Given Schefter’s standing as a trusted source within the NFL community, his update is likely to hold significant weight.
The Raiders, under former coach Pete Carroll, concluded their tumultuous season with a 3-14 record, earning them the last spot in the NFL standings. Carroll was let go shortly after the regular season wrapped up. The team holds the first overall pick in the upcoming draft and is expected to select Heisman Trophy winner QB Fernando Mendoza. According to DraftKings, Mendoza is heavily favored at -8000, while Trinidad Chambliss stands at +3500.
Vegas Betting Trends: Super Bowl LX Favorites
Seahawks QB Sam Darnold, who faced challenges last season in Minnesota with the Vikings, has experienced a remarkable turnaround under Kubiak’s guidance. He finished the regular season as the fifth-leading quarterback in the NFL, accumulating 4,048 yards over 17 games, along with 25 touchdown passes, placing him ninth in the league.
The Seahawks are currently the top favorites to win Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots on February 8, ranking high in various offensive metrics in the league. They secured the eighth position in offensive yards per game at 351.4 and totaled 5,973 offensive yards for the season. Seattle also ranked among the top teams in passing yards per game at 228.1 and was third in points scored per game with an impressive 28.4.
The Raiders currently possess around $88 million in cap space, amidst rumors regarding a potential trade involving star defensive end Maxx Crosby, who commands a salary of $30 million annually.
Quarterback Geno Smith, who was acquired last season in a trade with Seattle, was expected to be the solution for the position. However, he has struggled, leading the NFL with 17 interceptions this past season while earning $26.5 million.
