Fans eagerly awaiting the November 15 showdown between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul can catch a miniaturized version of the fight tonight.
The Nerd Bar in downtown Las Vegas will be transformed into “Micro Square Garden” for the showdown between mini Jake Paul and mini Mike Tyson. The action kicks off at 9 p.m.
This event is part of the MicroMania Tour, a comedy troupe that puts on spoof fights with little people impersonating famous wrestlers and boxers. Referred to as “micro-athletes,” the matches typically include two MicroMania singles bouts and a Main Event Battle Royale.
According to the troupe’s Facebook page, mini Tyson and mini Paul may be small in stature but are huge in the entertainment world.
The full-size Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight is generating significant buzz in the boxing community this year. Despite not being a title match, fans are eager to see Tyson, known as one of the hardest-hitting boxers in history during his prime in the ’90s, return to the ring at 58 years old.
Tyson’s last professional fight was in 2005, but he did participate in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, which ended in a split draw.
Interest in the fight hasn’t translated into a sold-out event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as tens of thousands of seats remain unsold less than a week before the bout. However, the fight will be streamed live for free on Netflix with a standard subscription.
In Vegas, oddsmakers have Jake Paul as the favorite at -270, while Tyson is the underdog at +210. Betting is not available for the miniature version of the fight.
Tickets for the MicroMania bout, priced at $40 and above, can be purchased on Eventbrite.com.
