Although Lil Baby has achieved success in music, he faced challenges on the casino floors.

In a recent podcast appearance, Lil Baby confessed to his gambling problem. He revealed losing over $8 million during a 40-hour gambling session in Las Vegas.

I lost like $8 million, $9 million,” Lil Baby said. “I made myself stop gambling. I don’t gamble no more.”

With the help of Michael Rubin, the founder, and CEO of Fanatics, Lil Baby drafted a letter to Las Vegas casinos requesting to be banned from gambling.

50 Cent reacted to Lil Baby’s revelation on social media expressing disbelief.

I only thought Floyd [Mayweather] do s*** like that. LOL,” 50 Cent wrote.

Lil Baby’s accomplishments include winning a Grammy Award in 2022 for “Hurricane” and the MTV Video Music Award for Best Hip Hop Video in the same year.

Vegas Run-ins

Although Lil Baby is from Atlanta, he has had encounters in Las Vegas. In August, he was arrested in Las Vegas on a concealed weapons charge.

Las Vegas police detained Lil Baby at the Clark County Detention Center after he was found with a firearm at Encore Las Vegas.

Although Lil Baby claimed to have a concealed carry permit from Georgia, Nevada laws did not recognize it. However, he was not charged by county prosecutors after a review of the case.

Having banned himself from casinos, Lil Baby can avoid encounters with security personnel in his favorite gaming establishments.

Unlike other states with self-exclusion programs, Nevada does not have a statewide program, but most casinos offer self-exclusion options at various locations.

Habitual Gambler

Before his rise to fame, Lil Baby claimed to have financed his music career through gambling. He turned a $60 loan from his sister into over $100K by playing at casinos.

“The majority of the winnings came from a dice game,” Lil Baby mentioned in 2022, likely referring to craps.

In August 2022, Casino.org reported Lil Baby winning $1 million at an MGM Resorts casino in Las Vegas while on tour with Chris Brown.

Daily Loud, a hip-hop culture-focused social media outlet, shared a video of Lil Baby playing baccarat in a VIP room where he generously gifted his entourage $10K each after a big win.
