Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana in Bossier City is on the lookout for artists to submit their artwork for display in the upcoming resort property.
The Cordish Companies, based in Baltimore, is investing $270 million to transform the former Diamond Jacks riverboat into a land-based casino and resort. They are seeking local artists to adorn the interior with artworks that capture the essence of Louisiana.
To help achieve this vision, Cordish is calling on local artists to submit their artwork for review and potential placement in the resort. Submissions are open until 4 pm on September 13.
The casino is accepting concept submissions for original artworks that represent the culture of the state.
A selected panel will choose 12 submissions, and the winners will be tasked with creating their concept in a 36″ x 36″ frameable arrangement. Each artist will receive $1,000 for their original piece.
Cordish currently operates three casinos and Live! Louisiana is expected to open in early 2025.

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana marks Cordish’s first renovation of a former casino. Cordish acquired the property in April 2023 and is investing $270 million in renovations.
The new land-based casino will feature over 1,000 slot machines, 40 live dealer table games, and a sportsbook. It will be located east of the hotel near where the Diamond Jacks riverboat was situated.
Cordish is committed to integrating the company and casino into the Bossier City community, starting with the call for artists’ submissions.

To be eligible for submission, artists must be based in Northwest Louisiana and have an active Region 7 account on Culturalyst.

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will feature a 25,000-square-foot Event Center that will serve as a multipurpose venue for various events.
The commissioned artworks will be displayed in the lobby area of the Event Center.
