“Our positive performance showcases a dynamic organization backed by dedicated teams striving to enhance our offerings across all sectors. This growth is a direct result of our consistent progress since the fiscal year commenced,” states Loto-Québec’s President and CEO Jean-François Bergeron.
Our offerings are continually evolving while adhering to our responsible commercialization standards. We’ve implemented various initiatives under our Wise Play branding to encourage safer gaming practices and remind players that chance is a core aspect of games.
Gaming halls and casinos contributed CAD $976.6 million to total revenues, with lottery games generating CAD $721.0 million and other gaming venues accounting for CAD $616.4 million.
Fennica Gaming Partnership
To clarify, a Loto-Québec representative indicated that “gaming venues” encompass games offered outside of their properties, such as sports betting, video lottery terminals in establishments, and bingo as well as Kinzo halls.
In December, Loto-Québec revealed the launch of a new gaming hall in Saguenay, located 120 miles north of Quebec City, which serves over 152,000 residents. The establishment not only offers gaming but also hosts live shows and entertainment. Furthermore, a partnership with Fennica Gaming was announced, enhancing content available on Loto-Québec’s online casino site—the only legal platform for Quebecers to place online bets.
Lottery Terminal Relocation Strategy
The crown corporation also unveiled a strategy for relocating lottery terminals to sites that will enhance social interaction and customer traffic.
“Visitor numbers have risen in our casinos and gaming venues, as well as on our gaming website,” said Bergeron. “Average spending per visit at our casinos remains steady at around $100. Additionally, the holiday season witnessed robust activity at our gaming locations, reaffirming their appeal as safe, inviting spaces for social gatherings.”
