- A Louisiana gambler scored $574,925 from a $50 wager
- The winning six-way parlay was placed through Caesars Sportsbook
A Louisiana sports gambler had a fantastic Thursday, hitting a six-leg “Super Parlay” that netted an astounding $575K.

According to Caesars Sportsbook, the bettor transformed a $50 investment into $574,925 through a six-leg parlay bet.

The ticket featured four players hitting home runs during the MLB Championship Series — Max Muncy (+500), Teoscar Hernandez (+475), Randy Arozarena (+525), and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+390).
After these players homered, the bettor needed touchdowns from Jonnu Smith (+340) and Tee Higgins (+215) in Thursday Night Football, and both delivered before halftime.
The odds of this six-leg parlay were approximately 11,498 to 1, allowing the bettor to turn each $1 wager into nearly $11,498.
“A truly remarkable win,” stated a representative from Caesars Sportsbook.
Remote Betting with High Odds
A spokesperson for Caesars Sportsbook informed Casino.org that the bettor placed the bet using the sportsbook’s mobile app. The term “Super Parlay,” as used by Caesars, refers to a ticket that combines multiple same-game parlays with a traditional parlay or straight wager selections.
Caesars Entertainment operates three casinos within Louisiana: Caesars New Orleans, Horseshoe Lake Charles, and Horseshoe Bossier City, each featuring a Caesars Sportsbook.
Sportsbooks generally favor when patrons assemble parlays, as the combination of bets increases the house edge. Longer odds yield larger payouts, enticing bettors to keep taking chances, despite the infrequency of wins.
Small bets with the potential for massive returns are viewed as an entertaining experience. Many liken it to playing the lottery — low chances of winning, but the allure of a huge prize keeps participants returning.
Parlays enhance the sportsbook’s “vig,” or the commission/fee integrated into the odds, ensuring profitability regardless of game results. This vig, or “vigorish,” compounds as bettors create multi-leg parlays.
Sports Betting Landscape in Louisiana
Louisiana’s betting market continues to expand in both overall handle and revenue. Mobile sportsbook profits have increased from $209.2 million in the 2023 fiscal year to over $443.4 million in the current fiscal cycle.
Online betting volumes have surged from $2.2 billion in 2023 to upwards of $3.7 billion last year.
Surprisingly, basketball reigns as the preferred sport for betting in Louisiana, not football. Last year, odds makers profited $41.6 million on basketball bets compared to $27.2 million on football. Revenue from parlays reached $296.7 million, comprising an astonishing 67% of the state’s sports betting income during the 2025 fiscal year.
