- Now You See Me Live set to take the place of David Copperfield at MGM Grand
- The innovative magic performance features stars Andrew Basso, Adam Trent, Enzo Weyne, and Gabriella Lester
- Shows kick off on October 15, 2026, at the newly renamed MGM Grand Theater
The MGM Grand has revealed that it requires four magicians to fill the shoes of David Copperfield. Hence, the captivating show Now You See Me Live will debut, drawing inspiration from the renowned three-part film series of the same name. The live show, which has already delighted packed audiences in Australia and Singapore, is set to run at the former David Copperfield Theater, starting from October 15, 2026, to at least January 5, 2027.

Developed by the creators of the acclaimed touring show The Illusionists, Now You See Me Live showcases four master magicians collectively titled the “Four Horsemen,” referencing characters from the 2013 caper film. The film featured Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco as illusionists who perform heists, sharing their spoils with audiences while evading the FBI.
This MGM Grand production aims to craft a performance reminiscent of what the Four Horsemen would have delivered in reality.
Though the talents of the performers do not exactly mirror those of the cinematic Four Horsemen, they include:
- Andrew Basso, an Italian world champion escape artist
- Adam Trent, an American sleight-of-hand master
- Enzo Weyne, a French illusionist specializing in large-scale effects
- Gabriella Lester from Canada, another expert escapologist
“The exceptional illusionists we’ve selected to portray the Four Horsemen will redefine the limits of stage magic,” stated producer Simon Painter. “Together, they will showcase remarkable feats of illusion that promise to astound the audience.”
Event planners noted that the show will also feature a rotating lineup of special guests throughout the run.
Copperfield’s Legacy Disappeared

David Copperfield, who was thought to be scheduled for performances through July 2026, chose to conclude his illustrious 25-year residency in Las Vegas on April 30, 2026. This decision coincided with the release of a significant collection of Epstein files by the U.S. Department of Justice, which mentioned Copperfield numerous times.
While MGM Grand management expressed typical corporate gratitude for Copperfield’s contributions and cherished his final show, the resort had already started dismantling his large promotional banners from the venue two months earlier, implying an effort to dissociate from an increasing public relations dilemma.
Copperfield’s remarkable journey could have been commemorated with the continued use of his name for the theater, which has now been rebranded simply as the MGM Grand Theater, reverting from its previous identity as the David Copperfield Theater since 2013.
