New features include sections dedicated to recognizing symptoms of problem gambling, comprehending risk elements, securing confidential help, and assisting family members who are affected. The website also boasts enhanced navigation and mobile compatibility for simplified access to information.

Managed by the MGCB, the “Don’t Regret the Bet” campaign aims to advocate for responsible gaming and diminish the stigma associated with seeking assistance. Authorities highlighted that countless Michigan residents utilize the state’s problem gambling helpline annually, with demand for support services escalating alongside greater accessibility to online gaming.

“Responsible gaming begins with awareness and access to dependable information,” stated Henry Williams, Executive Director of the Michigan Gaming Control Board. “By augmenting our website, we facilitate Michiganders in comprehending the risks linked to gambling and connecting them with assistance when necessary.”

The latest additions include expanded educational material on safe gaming behaviors, straightforward guidelines for recognizing warning signs of gambling issues, and dedicated resources for friends and family. A newly added Youth Gambling Prevention section provides research-driven insights for parents, educators, and community leaders, along with tools and discussion guides for tackling early exposure.

The youth-centered content underscores research indicating that children introduced to gambling before age 12 are four times more likely to develop gambling problems later on. Additional studies from the Economic & Social Research Institute reveal that individuals who start gambling before age 18 are nearly twice as prone to face gambling-related challenges in adulthood.

The website features updated FAQs, preventive materials, and direct links to confidential support services, including the Michigan Problem Gambling Helpline.
