Mohegan Sun Arena recognized as the top casino concert venue in Newsweek’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards

Mohegan Sun Arena has been recognized as the top Casino Concert Venue in Newsweek’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, and its parent company, Mohegan, has been acknowledged by Forbes as one of America’s Best-in-State Companies for 2026.

The Mohegan Sun Arena, with a capacity of 10,000 seats, earned this accolade after a four-week voting period involving Newsweek readers and industry specialists. This venue hosts over 125 concerts and sporting events every year and is celebrated as a premier location for live performances.

Alongside this remarkable achievement, Mohegan Sun also snagged the No. 2 spot for Best Native American Casino and the No. 2 position for Best Casino Players Club for its Momentum program in the Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards.

“Securing the top position as ‘Best Casino Concert Venue’ and ranking highly in other categories is an immense honor for Mohegan Sun,” remarked Jeff Hamilton, President & GM. “These accolades, in addition to our recognition by Forbes as a Best-in-State Company for 2026, showcase the commitment of our team and motivate us to continue providing world-class experiences for our visitors.”

Mohegan Sun Arena regularly welcomes major touring stars such as Justin Timberlake, Megan Moroney, Matt Rife, Sting, RUSH, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, and Eric Clapton. In September, Adam Sandler performed two sold-out shows at the arena and was honored with induction into the Mohegan Sun Arena Walk of Fame, joining an illustrious group of artists including Bon Jovi, Tim McGraw, and Taylor Swift. Moreover, segments of Sandler’s performances were filmed for a special episode of Netflix’s *My Next Guest with David Letterman*.

Mohegan’s inclusion in Forbes’ Best-in-State Companies for 2026 follows a review of over 50,000 companies across the country, focusing on factors like financial performance, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and growth.

Anticipated concerts at Mohegan Sun Arena include Meghan Trainor on July 4, 2026, 5 Seconds of Summer on May 29, 2026, and Chris Stapleton for consecutive shows starting February 27.
