The premier NFL competition by Circa Sports, Circa Survivor, has seen an impressive retention of over 90% of participants following Week 2, marking the highest survival rate recorded in the competition’s history.
Circa Survivor attracted 18,718 participants vying for a prize pool exceeding $18 million, with only 1,180 entries being eliminated in the current week, thereby leaving 16,965 players still contending.
The leading five selections all emerged victorious in their matches, with Baltimore, Los Angeles, and Detroit securing solid wins, while Arizona and Dallas managed to navigate through more challenging competitions. Dallas prevailed in overtime against New York, narrowly escaping a tie that would have resulted in the elimination of all selections from either squad.
Pittsburgh, which was among the top picks, succumbed to Seattle, causing 491 eliminations. Other teams contributing to the elimination of over 100 entries included Minnesota, Miami, and Houston.
In contrast, merely 27.2% of participants advanced to Week 3 in the prior year, while the earlier peak was recorded at 73.2% in 2021.
The newly introduced Circa Grandissimo, an upscale edition of the contest showcasing 69 entries and a $6.9 million prize pool, marked its first elimination in Week 2. One entry named “Blue Jay Way Too” was ousted after selecting Pittsburgh, while the rest of the participants progressed.
