Players in New Jersey can now enjoy the Buffalo slots on BetMGM, and the operator has plans to expand its offerings to Michigan and Pennsylvania. Bet MGM holds a significant market share as one of the largest online casino firms in the US.

The Buffalo slot machine by Aristocrat has been a favorite at brick-and-mortar casinos for over a decade,” stated a spokesperson. “Anaxi, Aristocrat’s online Real Money Gaming business, has transformed this beloved game for online play. Buffalo is a 20-line 5×4 slot game where players aim to fill the screen with Buffalo symbols to win.

BetMGM is a 50/50 joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain Plc.

Significance of BetMGM’s Buffalo Debut

As part of a previous agreement, Aristocrat’s Anaxi business will deliver gaming content to BetMGM. Anaxi, Aristocrat’s online gaming entity, was established last year to strengthen the company’s presence in the iGaming industry.

The release of Buffalo in New Jersey, and soon in Michigan and Pennsylvania, is crucial in the content-focused iGaming industry. Slot games, particularly high-margin offerings, are highly sought after by bettors who are looking to play their favorite titles from land-based casinos. BetMGM fulfills this demand with Buffalo.

The Buffalo series has been a resounding success at brick-and-mortar casinos across the US. Players appreciate the games for their nearly 95% return to player, low variance, and multiple opportunities to win beyond the big jackpots.

While US casinos continue to upgrade their slot offerings, the iGaming boom has shown the enduring popularity of slots titles. Many slots enthusiasts love to play these games online, leading internet casino operators to offer hundreds of titles.

Positive Outlook for iGaming

Currently, only six states — Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia — allow online casinos. However, this number is expected to grow in the coming years as states explore new revenue streams.

Gaming companies and states cannot ignore the fact that iGaming generates more revenue and profits compared to sports betting. Online casinos attract customers by offering the convenience of playing from home while still providing the potential for lucrative jackpots.

“BetMGM’s award-winning online casino features over 1,500 games and one of the largest exclusive jackpot networks. In the first half of 2023, the company awarded nearly $75 million in jackpots and is on track to surpass the $100 million jackpot milestone achieved in 2022,” the operator added.
