Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel located in Islandia, New York, has unveiled an engaging update video showcasing the advancements on its expansive $210 million renovation project. The footage shared on Instagram highlights the ongoing construction activities at the site.
The ambitious 300,000-square-foot expansion, undertaken by Aurora Contractors, aims to nearly double the casino’s existing footprint, as reported by Greater Long Island.
When completed, the transformed Jake’s 58 will offer a variety of new features, including several dining options, a conference center, an exhibition hall, and a concert venue. Additionally, plans include an exclusive ultra-VIP lounge complete with an outdoor terrace, hundreds of new hotel rooms, and expanded gaming facilities.
The renovation will also increase the number of video lottery terminals to 2,000 and introduce more parking spaces. With construction commencing in spring 2024, the project is slated for completion by spring 2026.
Originally established in 2017, Jake’s 58 is situated along the North Service Road of the Long Island Expressway and operates within a former Marriott Hotel. Suffolk Off-Track Betting (OTB) now owns and operates the establishment, with former New York State Senator Phil Boyle overseeing the venture as president of the agency.
According to Suffolk OTB, the development is anticipated to create over 800 construction jobs and 125 permanent positions. The casino will continue to operate during the renovation phase.
