Northfield Park Racino reveals new brand after completing MGM sale


Northfield Park Racino in Ohio has officially rebranded, removing MGM from its name after its acquisition by Clairvest Group based in Canada. The new brand identity will accompany enhanced gaming options and a revamped rewards program.

Previously known as MGM Northfield Park, this rebranding follows MGM Resorts International’s announcement last year about the sale to Clairvest, which was finalized last week.

The new branding highlights Northfield, a village in northern Summit County, while honoring the property’s long-standing legacy in harness racing. Northfield Park originally opened its doors on August 23, 1957.

The redesigned logo features a square icon with an abstract horse mane, symbolizing the racino’s “enduring spirit, pride, and heritage” connected to the local community.

A complete exterior rebranding is expected to be finished within 75 days. An official grand opening with promotions and special events will be announced shortly.

More gaming machines on the way

Northfield Park Racino is set to expand its gaming selections with the introduction of 300 new video lottery terminals (VLTs). This addition aims to elevate the gaming experience for guests, especially those seeking unique options.

This fresh brand identity reinforces Northfield Park’s growth as Ohio’s leading gaming entertainment destination, offering diverse VLTs, dining, live harness racing, and thrilling shows within our vibrant community,” stated Northfield Park Racino General Manager Kevin Brady.

“We’re committed to enhancing this legacy while adding more excitement through expanded VLTs, rewards, and special offers.”

The racino has also launched NP Rewards, a new five-tier rewards card program. Current rewards members have been migrated to NP Rewards with their existing tier status, points, and benefits intact.

Members can collect new cards and activate their PINs at the NP Rewards Desk at any time. Further details regarding rewards, offers, benefits, and partnerships will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.

To coincide with the updated identity of the casino, Caesars Entertainment has opened a new physical Caesars Sportsbook at the location, broadening its retail betting presence in Ohio and taking over the former MGM-operated space.
