The Las Vegas ballpark project for the Athletics, valued at $2 billion, is still on schedule for completion by the 2028 MLB season, according to the team and development partner Bally’s Corp. Financing challenges have been addressed, with Bally’s indicating progress in securing funding. Revised plans include a phased approach, with the first phase featuring the stadium, parking garage, and utility plant. Bally’s will fund the northwest plaza as the primary entrance. A’s owner John Fisher is committed to financing most of the project, with additional funding from U.S. Bank and Goldman Sachs. Minority investments have also been secured. Bally’s plans to continue development of the Las Vegas master plan, including the casino and hotel. Gaming and Leisure Properties have remaining funding for infrastructure. The project is expected to anchor the broader development, with the ballpark set for completion by the 2028 MLB season.
