Oprah Winfrey is set to headline a new immersive experience at the Las Vegas Sphere that combines storytelling, music, and multisensory spectacle. “Oprah Winfrey’s AHA” will debut at the Sphere for a limited three-night run from April 2-4, 2027, making it one of the venue’s most ambitious non-residency productions to date.

The concept for the project stemmed from Winfrey’s experience watching U2’s opening-night performance at the Sphere in September 2023, where she was inspired by the venue’s capabilities. She described the event as a dream that came to her while witnessing the possibilities of the space to create greater awareness and understanding of ourselves and our connections with others.
This led to a two-hour program that combines live performance, original music, and large-scale visual design. The event is described as a journey of light, sound, music, and storytelling, aimed at guiding audiences towards an “A-ha moment,” as defined by Winfrey.
The immersive experience will heavily feature the Sphere’s signature technology, including its wraparound LED display and sonic technology, to create a fully engaging visual and audio environment for audiences.
At 72 years old, Winfrey sees this project as part of her final creative decade driven by purpose, urgency, and the desire to help audiences see themselves in a new light.
According to Winfrey, “Creating this experience has felt like the culmination of what I’ve spoken about and worked towards my entire life.”
What’s Under the Dome
During the two-hour shows, Winfrey will be live on stage alongside a lineup of collaborators from various disciplines. This includes Grammy winner Jacob Collier, poet and novelist Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet, and gospel singer Wintley Phipps among others.
The musical direction will be overseen by Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter, Grammy-winning vocal director Jason White, and electronic artist Jon Hopkins, each providing original compositions tailored to the Sphere’s audio system.
The writing team includes heavyweight names like Tarell Alvin McCraney, known for “Moonlight” and the current artistic director of the Geffen Playhouse, crafting the narrative framework. Visual contributions will be made by Es Devlin, famous for designing Beyoncé’s tours, as well as original works from the Plum Village Monks. The production will be directed by Ethan Tobman and Emmy-winning producer Baz Halpin of Silent House Group.
Tickets for the show start at $145, and general sales will begin at 10 a.m. on September 25. Presale and weekend package sign-ups are also available through this link.
