Pedestrian at Harrah’s Casino Fatally Struck by SUV



As of January 16, 2024, an unfortunate incident resulted in the death of a pedestrian at the Harrah’s Hoosier Park Casino in Indiana. 71-year-old Steven Rubenstein of Fishers, Ind., suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident and passed away a short time after the collision. With continued investigation by the Anderson Police Department, there remains uncertainty around any potential charges against the driver involved in the collision. The identity of the motorist is known, although little information was released regarding Steven Rubenstein at this time.

In another unfortunate incident at the River City Casino in Missouri, a man was charged for allegedly stealing a motorcycle on Christmas Eve. With police checking surveillance video, they were able to identify the suspect as the driver of a truck containing the stolen motorcycle. The suspect was placed into custody early this week.

Lastly, law enforcement officials are working to find a missing individual who was last seen at the Black Gold Casino in Roosevelt County, Montana. Roger Shelton of Williston, N.D., has not been located since this time. Although considerable forensic investigation has occurred on his behalf, details surrounding his whereabouts remain unknown. Mr. Shelton’s name has been listed in a national database for missing person reports, although whether his disappearance is suspicious or plays involved remains to be seen.
