Aldo Continues Comeback

UFC 307 marks Pereira’s fourth title fight within a year.

As per the BetMGM desk, the most wagered fights are Pereira-Rountree Jr., followed by Raquel Pennington-Julianna Pena, and Jose Also-Mario Bautista.

Top bet props include Pereira by submission (+1400), Rountree by KO/TKO or DQ (+475), Pereira in Round 2 (+375), and Rountree to win in 60 seconds or less (+3500).

At BetMGM, Pereira stands at -450, while Rountree Jr. is at +340.

“Nothing unusual to report,” mentioned Johnny Avello, Director of Race & Sportsbook Operations at DraftKings. “Just steady and solid action.”

Pennington Faces Pena in Showdown

“We are observing interesting betting activity on the main event,” stated a FanDuel Canada trader. “Pereira is favored with 83% of the bet count and 79% of the handle, whereas Rountree Jr. holds 17% of the bet count and 21% of the handle.

“Oddsmakers are closely watching the Pereira method of victory by KO/TKO market, which currently attracts 30% of all method of victory bets in the main event. Overall, the most bet on fighters include Pereira, Kayla Harrison, Joaquin Buckley, and Kevin Holland,” noted the trader.

Most Bet Prop: Pereira By Submission

The co-main event between Pennington and Pena in the women’s bantamweight division carries an intriguing storyline – titleholder Pennington facing former champion Pena. An intense exchange occurred between them at Thursday’s press conference. Pennington is the favorite at BetMGM, at -165, with Pena at +135, attracting 65% of bets and 45% of handle.

Aldo, aged 38, a former UFC featherweight champion who made a comeback recently, emerged victorious in UFC 301 in May against Jonathan Martinez.

Pereira made headlines earlier this week by stating to Sportsnet that he has no plans to change weight classes post UFC 307, dismissing rumors about moving up to the UFC heavyweight division to challenge fighters like Jon Jones.
