Don’t let Tao Beach Dayclub’s pools and deck go to waste during the winter. They are transforming into a temporary 70’s-themed roller disco, with some help from superstar Usher, who loves roller-skating at his concerts.

Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace, which will be open from Nov. 17 to Feb. 2, is a collaboration between Venetian, Tao Group Hospitality, and Flipper’s World. Usher and partners revived the famous LA roller disco from the 1970s under this name.

After finishing his Park MGM residency in December 2023, Usher will attend the grand opening of the Vegas roller rink.

Roller skating sessions at Flipper’s at Tao Beach will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursdays through Sundays, starting at $20 per hour or $75 for a day pass.

The rink is open to all ages, with special events for those 21 and over. VIP experiences such as cabanas and lounges are available, starting at a minimum spend of $100.

Back Flipper

The original Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace operated from 1979-81 in West Hollywood and was well known for celebrities like Cher and Elton John, hosting early Prince concerts, and appearing on “Charlie’s Angels.” Since its revival in 2021, Usher and partners have opened a flagship Flipper’s in London, with pop-ups in New York and at Usher’s Super Bowl afterparty.
