“Pawn Stars” regulars Rick Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell are set to launch a new podcast called “Pawn After Dark” in January, drawing on their fame from the History Channel reality TV series. The podcast, a nod to the ’60s TV show “Playboy After Dark,” will be available on major streaming platforms.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported that the podcast will feature celebrity interviews, with each guest bringing an item for appraisal by Rick and Chumlee. Initial guests will include Raiders owner Mark Davis, ZZ Top co-founder Billy Gibbons, and BMX cyclist and TV host T.J. Lavin.

Harrison and Chumlee have a long history, with Chumlee being hired by Harrison at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop when he was 21, after befriending Harrison’s son Corey at Jon C. Fremont Middle School in Las Vegas.

While it is likely that Corey will also be involved in the podcast, he has recently relocated to Tulum, Mexico, as reported by the Review-Journal. The podcast will be recorded in a secret studio on the second floor of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, where the trio pretends to appraise items for customers on the show.

Although the first season of “Pawn Stars” was filmed at the actual shop, subsequent seasons have been filmed in a studio to avoid disruptions caused by fans seeking autographs and selfies.

“Pawn After Dark” will not be affiliated with the History Channel.
