The regulated sports betting market in Missouri commenced operations just after midnight on December 1. Eight sportsbooks hold licenses in the “Show Me” state: BetMGM, theScore Bet, Fanatics, FanDuel, DraftKings, Caesars, Bet365, and Circa Sports.

2.6 Million Geolocation Checks

As reported by GeoComply, over 2.6 million geolocation checks were recorded within Missouri in the first 24 hours.

GeoComply Solutions Inc., based in Vancouver, provides clients worldwide with fraud prevention and cybersecurity services designed to combat location fraud and assure users’ true digital identities.

Eight Licensed Sportsbooks

On December 1, more than 250,000 sports betting accounts were activated, with approximately 188,000 pre-registered accounts established in the lead-up to the launch (from November 17 to 30).

“Missouri has long demonstrated its enthusiasm for legalized sports wagering,” stated Kip Levin, CEO of GeoComply. “The first day’s figures are astonishing. Immediately, tens of thousands of Missourians embraced safe, regulated platforms as soon as they became available. This serves as a strong testament to how quickly consumers adopt a well-regulated market when viable options arise.”

GeoComply plans to publish a more detailed performance report of the market following the Kansas City Chiefs’ prime time NFL game on December 7.
