Stevens, a father of two, lost his life in view of his partner right outside The Park Tower Casino in Knightsbridge, one of London’s most prestigious neighborhoods.

Initial reports indicated that Stevens was attacked while trying to thwart a masked robber attempting to take his Rolex watch. However, law enforcement later revealed they were examining all possibilities, suggesting the victim might have been specifically targeted.

Police in Pursuit of Suspected Assailant

The six accused—Adnan Hindawi, 25, Ali Hindawi, 24, Nicholas McCoy, 23, Mozahedul Alam, 26, Shafwan Meah, 20, and Jayden Clement-Bryan, 25—faced charges at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 9, according to the Metropolitan Police.

All six individuals were granted bail and are set to return to the Old Bailey courtroom on Monday, March 9. They do not face murder charges.

Authorities are still searching for Youssef Razak, 25, who is described as “wanted in connection with the murder.”

The Park Tower Casino, with rates starting at £1,500 (approximately US$2,000) per night, is situated just a short distance from the iconic Harrods department store.

Guests at the casino on June 9 last year reported hearing disturbances and police sirens around 9:25 p.m. One eyewitness recalled seeing a man lying on the pavement while paramedics attempted to revive him.

Stevens was declared dead at the scene shortly after first responders arrived at approximately 9:30 p.m., according to police reports.

“We are deeply saddened by this incident that unfolded near our hotel. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this challenging time,” stated a spokesperson.

Increase in Criminal Activity

Residents of the area have observed a surge in criminal activities targeting individuals with expensive items. A hotel representative confirmed that this incident did not involve any of their guests or staff.

The Metropolitan Police have renewed their appeal for information related to Razak and are encouraging anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to reach out.

“We are diligently pursuing all possible lines of investigation in this case,” commented Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command. “Our thoughts remain with Blue’s family, who continue to receive support from specialized officers.”
