This acquisition of Great Canadian Casino Vancouver is a pivotal move toward economic self-determination for the Snuneymuxw, reinforcing our long-term viability, financial autonomy, and the restoration of a historically vibrant economy.
A Gaming Giant with 917 Slots
Casino Vancouver stands out with the largest gaming floor in British Columbia, featuring over 917 slot machines, 37 table games, and 42 electronic tables catering to poker and blackjack. Additionally, the Show Theatre serves as a 1,050-seat venue for live entertainment, complemented by dining options like Match Eatery and a food hall. Notably, Gordon Ramsay Burger opened as the first restaurant by the celebrity chef in Canada in 2023.
The Snuneymuxw is a First Nation representing the Coast Salish people, located in a prime area of Coast Salish territory on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, encompassing the Gulf Islands, the Fraser River, Burrard Inlet, and Howe Sound.
Recent Developments in Great Canadian Sales
“We are capitalizing on opportunities to enhance Snuneymuxw’s economic prospects and establish a robust, resilient future for our Nation,” remarked Erralyn Joseph, President of Petroglyph Development Group.
Significant efforts have resulted in transformative economic developments. Over the past decade, PDG has expanded from three entities to 13, and we aim to maintain our strategic growth to revolutionize economic ceilings for Snuneymuxw and beyond.
