Southwest Airlines is set to launch its inaugural nonstop international routes from Las Vegas starting June 4, connecting travelers to three sought-after Mexican vacation spots.

The prominent airline operating out of Harry Reid International Airport will provide daily flights to Los Cabos, operate flights to Cancun five times weekly, and schedule bi-weekly services to Puerto Vallarta, as reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The Los Cabos route will be the sole daily international offering.

Flights to Los Cabos will leave Las Vegas at either 8:05 a.m. or 9:55 a.m. and reach their destination in about two hours and 40 minutes, with return flights scheduled at 12:30 p.m., 1:15 p.m., or 2:20 p.m. One-way fares begin at $295.

Flights to Cancun will run from Thursday to Monday, departing Las Vegas at 7:55 a.m. or 9 a.m. Each journey will take roughly four and a half hours. Return flights from Cancun will leave at 1:45 p.m. and 3:20 p.m., with fares starting at $270.

For Puerto Vallarta, flights will depart from Las Vegas at 7:55 a.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. on Sundays, featuring a three-hour flight duration, while return flights are at 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 2:55 p.m. on Sundays. The introductory one-way fares for Puerto Vallarta are priced from $244.

The introduction of these new international services is part of a comprehensive schedule expansion, which also includes new flights to eight domestic destinations and seasonal daily service to Anchorage, Alaska, commencing May 14-15. Southwest’s first flight to Anchorage sets off from Las Vegas at 7:30 p.m., with the return flight leaving Anchorage at 12:55 a.m., arriving in Las Vegas at 7:05 a.m. One-way fares commence at $387.

Furthermore, Southwest Airlines is augmenting service on eight domestic routes departing from Las Vegas. Key locales include Nashville, Tennessee; Burbank, California; Indianapolis; Kansas City, Missouri; Orlando, Florida; New Orleans; Reno; and Tampa, Florida. The airline already provides nonstop service to 22 of the top 25 travel markets across the U.S. from Las Vegas.

Since entering the Mexican market in July 2014 with the acquisition of AirTran Airways, Southwest had yet to offer flights from Las Vegas until this recent announcement. All new routes will utilize Southwest’s Boeing 737 twin-engine aircraft.
